Samsung would present its new folding smartphones well in July 2021.
This year, Samsung has decided to break with its traditions by presenting its new flagship, the Galaxy S21 and its variants, in January. In addition, probably in order not to overshadow the S21, Samsung decided not to unveil new folding smartphones in the first quarter.
The strategy seems to have paid off since, as we explained in a previous article, Samsung anticipates a significant increase in its operating profit in the first quarter. And normally, the manufacturer is now thinking about the launch of its next high-end products.
While it’s possible that Samsung won’t offer a new Galaxy Note this year, the Korean brand’s folding smartphones are still reportedly in the pipeline. And according to rumors, the presentation of these devices should be in July.
This week, a new source corroborates this hypothesis. In an article published this week, our colleagues from Android Authority relay an info from The Elec site indicating that two models, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 2, will be launched in July.
The Galaxy Z Fold 3 will be the successor to the Z Fold 2 launched by Samsung in 2020. But if the device supports the S Pen stylus (like the S21 Ultra), Samsung could also present the Z Fold 3 as a replacement for the Galaxy. Note that should have been offered this year.
